Casa Om "Life of a Yogi" Schedule                                   Typical Day

Anchorage Yoga's Life of a Yogi Training is a 7-day program. Below is a sample of a typical week. 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am to 7pm (10.5 contact hours).
  • Wednesday and Saturday are 7am to 11am (4 contact hours).
  • Sunday calls for one, morning practice (2 contact hours).

Brunch and dinner will be served at Casa Om Monday through Friday.  Brunch will be served at Casa Om on Saturday.  Fresh fruit and tea will be available each day between practice and classroom sessions.  There are plenty of delicious local restaurants within walking distance to Casa Om for your offsite meals.

The Dorm
 features three bunk beds that sleep six people in total and includes a private bathroom. There is also a second bathroom available with a shower upstairs by the yoga room for Dorm guests to use. The Dorm has an outdoor kitchen attached to it and the room includes a safe, mini fridge, a/c, art from local photographers, high ceilings, skylights, extra blankets, organic bamboo sheets, and an onyx sink from Puebla.

Price: $1,630 per person (multiple occupancy)

Rooms 7-8
 feature two beds and a shared bathrooms. These rooms include a safe, mini fridge, coffee pot, a/c, art from local photographers, extra blankets, over head fan, organic bamboo sheets, a unique hand carved head board from Bali, a mirror from India, onyx lights from Puebla, and travertine floors. The shared bathroom is located directly next to Rooms 7-8 and features an onyx sink from Puebla.

Room 9
 features one king Rajasthani bed from India and a private bathroom. This room is suitable and ideal for partners or friends that don’t mind sharing a bed for four weeks! The room includes a safe, mini fridge, coffee pot, a/c, art from local photographers,a hand carved desk and mirror from India, extra blankets, over head fan, organic bamboo sheets, onyx lights from Puebla, and travertine floors. In addition to a shower, Room 9’s private bathroom also features a bathtub. 

Price: $2,430 per person (double occupancy)

FAQ

WHEN DOES THE RETREAT START AND END?

The retreat will begin around dinner time on October 30th. We expect our rooms to be available by 3pm earlier that day. If you arrive earlier on the 30th the friendly staff at Casa Om can hold your luggage in the office. 

The retreat will end on November 5th after morning practice & breakfast.

WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT & IS IT REFUNDABLE?

The deposit is $500, and it is non-refundable and non-transferable. The difference of the retreat price is refundable up to 90 days before the retreat start date if you find you are unable to join us.

WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

You will fly into the Cancun airport. 

HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO CASA OM?

We will schedule your transportation to and from the airport on October 30th and November 5th. Transportation is included in the price of the immersion.  Transportation is included in the Price of the Immersion.

DO I NEED A VISA?

Yes, but one will be provided to you on the flight into Mexico. 

HOW DO I EXCHANGE MY MONEY?

There are currency exchange offices in the Cancun airport and in the town of Puerto Morelos. Check with your bank to see if you have an ATM card that does not charge a fee for currency exchange. If your ATM card will allow, there are more options for money exchange. 

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE RETREAT PRICE?

Accommodations, breakfast & dinner, purified water daily, transportation to and from the Cancun airport on October 30th & November 5th, training hours & yoga practice, daily laundry for 'sweaty' clothes. 

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?

Airfare, lunch, incidentals & tips for Casa Om staff (around $10 USD/day, to be shared with the many individuals who make their living supporting our trip; please bring CASH).
