We invite you to join us for a fully immersive yoga experience. Whether you are looking to become a yoga teacher or would like to deepen your understanding of the practice, Anchorage Yoga's 200-hour teacher training is an incredible opportunity for both. You will sweat, build strength and confidence, expand your knowledge of yoga, and create life-lasting connections in an intentional community.

Our 200-hour training is not just about memorizing a sequence or learning the history of yoga; it is an incredible opportunity to tap into your greatest potential and possibly transform your life. Over the course of this training, you will learn to blend the right amount of technical knowledge, joy, power, and spirituality into your teachings. You will learn how to safely and soulfully guide others through this often life-affirming practice. Not only are we committed to your evolution as a student we are enthusiastic to shape you into an authentic and reputable yoga teacher who knows their individual gifts and can effortlessly share them with others.
Anchorage Yoga not only offers the area's most respected and successful yoga teacher training programs, but our training expertly prepares you to teach yoga in relevant and meaningful ways. Expect to become empowered as you explore the ancient practices of yoga and learn how to incorporate them into your daily life with heartfelt integrity.
Our team of asana and anatomy experts, including Katey Inman, Sarah Smith, Christa Koos, Leah Levinton, David Westlake, and Joshua Love, will provide you with the tools you need to deliver an informative and therapeutic yoga class efficiently. Postural Alignment, modifications, hands-on assists, and clear language for safely presenting the postures are covered in this training. Methodology, anatomy/physiology, yoga philosophy, and the business of yoga with practical application are taught as well. We look forward to sharing our passion and knowledge of Yoga with you!
We meet eight weekends over the course of 3 months to make it more accommodating for those of us who work or are in school.
Teacher Training is an 8-weekend program.
Below is a sample of a typical weekend.
Fridays are typically 6pm to 9pm (3 contact hours).
Saturdays are typically 7:45am to 5pm (9 contact hours).
Sundays are typically 7:45am to 4pm (8 contact hours).
Teacher Training starts at $2,500 (10% discount given to members).
Space is limited and enrollment is first come, first served.
$500 deposit is to secure your space.
* When registering, select the entire teacher training fee to sign-up, you will then have the option to choose a payment plan and can make a $500 deposit.
